Hi All,

So the Zap bug got me ( Stereo) last week.

Without going into (why?) details.

The Banana plugs touched a AV back stand, metal frame column ( now shielded!)

Stereo was on while moving it and something popped. No smoke just shut down?

In the old days cross 2 wired fuse pop change good to go, Now?

It’s older unit got it used, owner hardly used it. What to look for and worth getting fixed?

Went thru reset procedure’s and no go.

Fuses check ok
Power Transistor is not reading dead.
Thanks.

Don't know your unit, but have had 2 friends with Onkyo amps that did similar issues. Darned things have virtually no good protection circuitry for this problem. Both of the ones I fixed had blown small capacitors in the output circuits. I'd start looking there, and if you can't find the problem see if you can find a schematic.

Thanks for the reply, I'm going to track one down this weekend.
