I am currently in the process of setting up a 200W off-grid solar panel system to charge a 12V battery, which will in turn power a laptop and some other devices. As I'm very new to all of this, I thought I'd ask here about my possible battery choice before buying.

I know I need it to be a 12V AGM battery rated at 100Ah, but I've no idea about the differences between different brands. Has anyone used, or does anyone know about, the following?:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/12V-Xplor...Itra-Deep-Cycle-5-Year-Warranty-/171376568297

I just want to make sure that it's not a really shoddy battery before committing to the purchase. Any help would be much appreciated.

Price seems ok for the size........I would be checking to see just what the warranty covers precisely.

I would imagine the "5 years" would be some type of pro-rata but check for any other "conditions of warranty" they may have.
Just as an example, some warranty details exclude commercial use.

How much energy (watt hours) do you expect to extract from this battery during dark periods? By my calculations it will take 2 sunny days to charge it.
