Hi, I'm hoping someone might be able to help:
I have a 12v hand held search lamp that has stopped working. Inside the lamp is a pcb and it looks like the switch cable has come unattached. What I find weird is that whether the switch is in use or not the lamp holder is showing the same charge 13.71v???
The two main (red & black) wires read 14.05v coming into the board
The white wires to the lamp holder show 13.67v
Main red to white (below the black) reads 14.12v
Main Black to any part of the lower board 13.71v
If i insert the bulb into the holder, the voltage immediately drops to 0.56v
Bulb circuit is complete (not blown)
So, can anyone please advise where the switch cable should be re-soldered to & any ideas what is going on with the light?
I'm no expert, so please let me know what info you might require...
Many Thanks
Jim
