1993 Magnavox FW 27 Mini HiFi Stereo System won't turn on

Thank you in advance for any suggestions! Some guys would just toss this 1993 unit but it was my Dads and oh if I could simply get it to turn on!! It is a smaller home stereo with AM/FM, Dual Cassette and 5-disc CD player. Question: if turned off after last use, (with the remote now missing), does it require a remote to unlock to start up? Again, many thanks!

I can’t find a FW27.
But if it’s similar to the FW25, then yes it will work fine without the remote.
There is also a system reset button on the back.
Can you share some photos of the front and back of yours?.

I will check again for a reset button and post pics. I swear I did not see any reset button.... Also pulled cover off in case something was disconnected, circuit fried, etc...all looks great...just not responding to "on button" when compressed. Thanks Martaine2005!

Is yours similar?.
And a pic of the reset button..

I am frustrated Martin! One; I must apologize: my father passed away and it has been a tough time here.

I am unable to post the pics I took as it says “The uploaded image is too large”…..let me work on that!

My unit has NO reset button on back!

When I opened it up (removed the covers), nothing looked bad inside…but I am no serious electronics guy!

Soo frustrated as I cannot reduce image size that will allow me to send.

Maybe it is this forum? Or the foremat they use?

I can send them via email (which may allow this size of pic?)

I do believe 300KB works well.
There are also plenty of online sites that re-size free.
