1N5819 schottky barrier rectifier diode

we badly needed a 1N5819 schottky barrier rectifier diode for our project, the biggest problem is the stock is out.

any body have an idea of anything that can be used as substitute to this?

A 1N5817 or 1N5818 might work, depends on the reverse voltage...

The other question that strikes me is "What is this diode being used for?"

What is important in this circuit, forward voltage, forward current, reverse voltage, reverse current, speed, recovery characteristics, etc., etc.

It may be that all you want is any 40V 1A Schottky diode, or it may be that some particular characteristic is critical.

If caracteristics like capacitance, reverse recovery switching time and the forward voltage (very good for this diode indeed) aren't a major concern, you can use a 1N4935 or an UF4004 diode.

Unfortunately, is necessary more data to choose a more suitable replacement.
