I have 2, expensive, 24v solar panels, never used, that I don't know what to do with. So, I was wondering if I could make a 12v system work by putting 2, 12v batteries in series and using the panels to charge them, and just pull the load to the inverter I already have off the LH battery as per the diagram. Would the RH battery keep the LH battery backfed ? In this diagram, the solar panels would obviously be connected to the top with a charge controller. Also, load 2 would not be used.
Thanks for any ideas.

The batteries will become unbalanced if the loads are not identical. One will be overcharged and one undercharged.

Better to use a 24V to 12V buck convertor to charge both 12V batteries in parallel or a 24V to 12V buck convertor supplied from the batteries in series to both outputs.
