First, sincere apology if this in not the correct NG to answer my simple
electric circuit design requirements.
At home in the stairway i have two 3-way switches driving one light fixture
(120W Max.), one switch upstairs the other in the garage.
They are wired in a power runs Switch-Switch-Fixture mode. The A.C constant
power source is in the garage switch.
I would like your ideas to find an elegant solution to eliminate the manual
switching function replacing them with a one-minute timed push button.
Ideally, i would prefer a 100% cybernetic solution; replacing the switches
with sensors (motion? IR?). The doors are always open so I can't use them as
triggering point.
Thanks in advance for your help,
Manuel
PS: The wife thinks this is an extravagant luxury, of course she never goes
upstairs with both arms full of grocery bags and in the dark
