I have designed a circuit using an LM741 but have found that I may need a higher slew rate. I don't want to redo my prototype board so does anybody know of an IC with a higher slew rate than the lm741 that uses the same pinout as the 741?

Thanks

Maybe an LM324

Nope. An LM324 is four opamps in one package sharing common power supply inputs. The pinouts of the two devices are not at all alike, and one cannot be substituted for the other in a circuit already built. Also, the two amplifiers are not alike. None of the opamps in an LM324 have offset adjustment pins.

Like this: (I don't have time to check the specs on everything)
CA3140E TL081CN TL061CP TL071CP LF351N MC33171N,
For high freq applications I've been using the LT1793

OK have moved web000x's post and following comments to it's own thread
and tidied it up a bit
Two things to keep in mind on forums
1) don't revive very old threads ( note the date of the last post before adding comments)
2) as commented on, don't hijack someone else's thread :)

all is cool and sorted out ... continue the discussion

There are many versions of the 741. Exactly which one do you have? This might help with matching the pinout.
