I am in need of Help on setting up my new alarm system. I installed a
Ademco vista 15p control panel with all hard wired zones. I have a
Ademco 6150rf keypad. I went to turn the system on and all I am getting
from the keypad is Ad 31 00 also on the side it says no ac and not
ready. I checked all the wires and everything rings out right... Do I
have to get this programed or what do I have to do..... Happy Home

Ad 31 00 is the device address.

Press and hold the 1 & 3 keys.
When you see 31, press 16 and then *. I am not absolutely sure, but that
should change the device address.

Additional keypads must be addressed differently, 17, 18, etc. In order to
get them to work, you need to go to sections 190, etc...and select 1 + 0 for
each keypad needed.

yes, but you have to do it fast after powering up the keypad.

I use to unplug the keypad and plug it back in, until they changed it all to
the screw terminals.

Thanks a million. I did what you said and it worked. Now I have to
figure out how to set my passcode. Again thanks a million.

first change the installer code addr 20 ...
then come out of programming and use the installer code to add a master code (i think it's address 02)...then you use master code to add the others (03...)

I think thats right, it's been a couple of weeks since I've done a 15P.

I hated that plug on Ademco keypads....until they changed to standard
terminals, now I wish they'd bring it back

I agree, now ya gotta carry a micro-screwdriver...and I can never remember IN OUT.. it was much easier with the plug leads.

I do carry around a beatup 6139 that made up 6ft color coded aligator clip leads on it...to 'fully' program those systems with only 6128's on them.

hey...can you fully program a 15P with a 6150rf ?...never tried it as I always use my 6139.

If you've done enough of them, a 6128 is more than adequate (in a "pinch").
It happened to me a couple of years ago when the 6138 I used for programming
"walked away" somewhere and the only thing available was the customer's
6128... :))
