Greetings, all.
After a dinner preparation disaster, the smoke alarm was activated (too late, I see that a heat alarm would be more suitable for a kitchen).
Now the keypad shows the fire code, & the message NOT READY. I've huffed & puffed & cleaned the smoke detector as best I can, but entering the code + off, as the manual states, is ineffective.
In my community, a security service, rather than an alarm company, does the monitoring, but they have the same knowledge level as yours truly.
