Hi all my situation is I’ve purchased a tv of of eBay apparently was brand new at about 15 seconds of the television being powered up it made a loud bang noise and my electric tripped out in the house . I’ve tested fuse from the plug and that had not blown. I opens the cover where the power goes to board and I could see what was the issue I’ll add some photos of what happened I thought that the earth should have been insulated in case something comes loose. thank you all any help & advice will be appreciated

If it's a new TV from a retailer and you have opened it up, you have voided your warranty. Have you tried moving the terminal to a safe spot and powering up again? If it blows the house fuse again, well, it's dead. It may just fire up if you're lucky.

No, it won't.

It's knackered Jim. She canna' take any more Captain... That parrot is deceased.

Being an eBay purchase you might get lucky to receive a refund if you paid using Paypal or the Ebay payment scheme - start a claim by registering the fact that the 'goods are damaged'.

If you bought it second hand then it's possibly a case of caveat emptor (buyer beware) and you'd probably be better off trying to repair it yourself (or get someone to do it) than going through a lengthy claims procedure.
