Alien or Ball Lightning?

While watching the lightning outside, i was recording it on my phone and out of that video this in particular caught my attention...

Now either the cloud lights up from a lightning ball or it's an alien craft recharging it's cells....

What's it to be? .

its just the remains of the zap, sometimes when they are coming towards you they can look ball like

I have done 1000's of lightning/storm photos in the 10+ years that I have been doing it seriously in Australia and USA
I don't see anything in those images are is unusual
