Amstrad phone registration

I have bought a new amstrad emailer phone. when I tried to register it as instructed, I could get no reply! I found out that the firm (amstrad) closed 1 yr ago. I do not need the email service on the phone, all I need is to use the the phone side ,but I can't till I register it (catch 22). I found my old amstrad very usefull for keeping addresses, and miss it. Does anyone know how I can rewire my new amstrad just to take calls.

I would be looking for collectors of amstrad equipment, or some support forum for this device.

The easiest solution is unlikely to involve hacking the electronics (at a guess)
