Hi all,

Looking for some advice please, I’m looking to modify the volage output signal of an engine sensor range from 1.5-3.5v to 1.5 to 4.5v range. The sensor has a regulated 5v supply, however also provides power to 2 other amplified hall type sensors so keen any amplifier for this circuit has minimal current draw.

The sensor provides positional info for the ecu, so assume the signal will just be feeding a A-D converter.

Any advice or circuit guidance would be much appreciated?

Thx

From the headline, opamp is the obvious choice. A non-inverting amplifier with 1.258'ish amplification and in the opamp amplifier circuit, you need the local ground having stabilized 1.5V as well.
That is, you need as well as a good opamp circuit (not like the old 741)
-> Accurate set of resistors in order to gain accurate gain.
-> Voltage stabilizator and accurate resistors to get excactly 1.5V.

Seems a bit of a stretch to believe that the voltage 'as is' can't be used as-is...??? Can you elaborate on the need to do this?

I posted this previously, but it seems to have disappeared.
It uses an op amp with a non-inverting gain of 1.5 and a negative offset of 0.75 volts to get the desired output.
The op amp can be just about any rail-to-rail type.
