[Announce] ISP's dropping Usenet - Here are alternatives

As most of you already know, some major ISP's are discontinuing offering
Usenet access. This does not mean they are blocking access (yet), they are
just not going to provide it as part of your subscription. So far the
affected ISP's are Verizon (alt groups), Time Warner, Sprint and possibly
Qwest [1].

While the reason for ISP's dropping Usenet access remains debatable (the
official excuse given was kiddy porn) [2], the trend does not bode well for
legitimate users.

I have complied a short list of free or low-cost Usenet providers for ASA
participants, so the flow of information isn't disrupted too much.
