How do I get in to the service menu of an Apex PF3230 (32" Flat Screen
TV". I could find none for this model of the TV.

When I reduce the volume to 00, hit mute and menu of the console
simultaneously, I get an "S" in red on the top but no options to
navigate or change through. Could someone tell me what to do?

I am trying to change the aspect ratio of my TV from 4:3 to 16:9. Also
modify the refresh rate so as to use it as a computer monitor.

Thanks.

If that option is not in the customer setup menu then you will only cause
yourself more aggravation by messing with the service menu. Esp with this
cheap set.

What you are trying to do is simply not possible or practical.

Any change of the height or horizontal size will effect the pincushion
circuitry alignments. So a full alignment will be required. Plus the
limited adjustment available on most tv sets prevent what you want to try.
Then there is the problem of seeing the flashing information CC and data
services sent out in the vertical blanking interval.

The second issue is simply a stupid idea, who told you that it could be
done? Tv sets cannot change scan rate. Unless you bought a tv set that is
HDTV compatible and included the svga connector, you are out of luck there.

Thanks for the elaborate response. I am not very familiar with TV insides.
