output is 3v to 36v? is this variable? and what does preset mean?

if preset are 24v, why dont write 24v? it caused me much misunderstandings.

this powersupply is broken. I need to find replacement, this is for my hearing aid dryer compartment. But in my country (indonesia) this thing never exist. but i found many stuff adaptor 24V like this.

it's 24V 1A, and the broken charger are 24V 0.4A, so should be enough..

does it will work or not?

Hi NVZN,
It sure seems to be a variable supply factory set at 24V - 400mA.
I would imagine it can be adjusted by board components or simply a potentiometer.
The new adaptor will work just fine. The polarity and voltage are correct. The higher amperage rating is also fine. Two things could happen. It may charge your device in half the time (doubtful) or it simply wont get as warm during use.
Hopefully the DC jack is the same size.
