So I'm new at this.
I'm trying to wire up some LEDs to a battery pack and a switch. To connect the LEDs to the wires, is it better to bend the terminals of the LEDs to give the wires better grip or should i just e-tape the whole shebang together?
Thanks for help!

One word... solder.

Also have a look at solderless breadboards which allow you to make up circuits without soldering anything.

Be aware that a resistor, or some method of current limiting, is required when you use LEDs. The alternative is that they have a very brilliant, but very short life.

yes , LED s need "current controllers" , so you need to take the necessary precautions if u sing a battery...which is a voltage source.
