basic simple question - how to add input to a simple radio receiver

Folks

Sorry if its a basic question for some of you, here it is anyway:

I have a small simple radio device which consists of a knob for volume
and has a button for scanning radio stations. Its powered by 3 AA
batteries. It connects to a tiny speaker that is built-in.

I'd like to provide input to this radio device from an iPod. Few
questions:
1. Is it possible to do this?
2. Have any of you had experience doing this? If so, how?

If you would like a picture of the circuit board, let me know.

Please respond to this post directly.

Thanks!

An cheap 88-108Mhz FM receiver no doubt so you could just
buy one of the low power FM transmitters designed for use with ipods.
That would just plug in.

If you want to connect it directly I'm sure the ipod headphone output
will be able to drive the tiny loudspeaker in the radio directly.
If you still want to be able to use the radio rewire it with the
loudspeaker leads going to the wipers of a small DPDT switch,
the radio output on one set of contacts and a 3.5mm jack lead for
ipod on the other.
