battery powered intercom

Hi
anyone know where i can get a kit or premade wireless intercoms?

i have a pair of radio shack ones but the range is bad, i need 150 feet
so i can talk from the house to a outbuilding.

battery powered would be great. i would like to be able to add 5 or more
units and they can be all on the same freq or channel.

FRS radios can be had for about $10 each for the ones that run on AA alkalines.
Is that cheap enough?
