Hello All

For a 1.5V battery, what is the potential voltage at the positive
terminal and negative terminal of battery?
Is it 1.5 and 0 respectively?
or 1.5 and -1.5?

Hear from you all
Thank you

Jason

You probably have it right but are getting a bit bogged down :)
The potential of the Pos terminal with respect to the Neg terminal is +1.5v.
How you connect it is the key.

Hi Jason,
You are on solid ground.
Voltage is a quantity used to measure difference in potential.
Voltage on one point can only be expressed with respect to another point.
The tip is +1.5 V wrt (with respect to) the bottom.
The bottom is -1.5V wrt the top.
If you put two cells in series aiding and made one reference point the
middle where they touch, then the top would be +1.5v and the bottom would
be -1.5v wrt the reference.
