How can we display digit 8 using HFE4511bp decoder, if we are using only 3 input pins and 4th input pin is being used for something else

The truth table on page 4 in this datasheet tells you every input/output combination. There are two sets of input data that generate an "8" at the output.

Oh, really? And for what, pray tell, is the fourth input pin being used?

That's probably true, but given that there has been no reply, no dialog established, nor any further questions asked by the op, I would flag this as a "drive-by" poster who is not interested in learning how to read a datasheet but just wants someone to provide a quick and painless answer to their homework problem.
