Beginner Project

Hi. I am looking for some beginner help in putting together a schematic. I wanted to try building an effects pedal for my guitar. I could just go buy one, but there is no fun in that. So I thought I would try putting one together. I have absolutely no experience in this field/hobby, so I am hoping someone can offer some assistance. I have looked at several videos on youtube, but I can't seem to wrap my head around how the schematic transforms into an actual 3D object.

First off welcome to the forum. I would suggest you start out with a simple kit that includes a printed circuit board. That way you can get an idea what the parts look like.

thanks, I will try that. I purchased a "voice changer" kit.
