I need to bend more than 200 resistor leads before I solder them to my
pcb. I can't seem to find one of those resistor lead bending tools.
Any hints on how to accurately bend them all so that they fit
perfectly?
wow, a lead bender hard to find......mouser, jameco, electronics
express, contact east, allied electronics..........they all carry them
from the cheap plastic forms to lever action bending tools.
I once had to bend a bunch of diodes for a high voltage generator and
this was before I had a commercial lead bender....I used a strip of
perfboard cut to where I had 2 half holes on each side thats width was
the same as the holes in the pcb. You could make a multiple size
bender this way too just cutting the board diagonally on each side of
a center line........but I would just buy a cheap bender. Hope I made
that clear enough.....
buy a plastic bender..... they are a cheap tool and worth the small
cost.
