For a test PCB I'm making, I needed to solder on an SMD micro-USB connector. Specifically, this one: https://docs-emea.rs-online.com/webdocs/15eb/0900766b815eb5fd.pdf
I used a tiny bit solder paste and a hot air gun, and it visually looks fine, but here's the issue: I'm using the micro-USB connector to program an Atmega32u4 with its default dfu bootloader, and I can't get it to work correctly. I've mentioned this in a previous post.
I want to make sure that the usb-connector isn't the issue here. What's the easiest way to check all the connections work? If needs be, I could snip the cable of a micro usb-cable, and probe the individual wires, but i'd rather not if there's a better way.
