I have checked all three thermostats and they conduct
The element is about 34 ohms. There doesn't seem to be a
Neutral return.

I have checked the main pcb and there is a burnt
Coil marked KA 03/05 063.783 it has 2 pins onside
And 3 the other. I would like to replace it but not
Sure what it is exactly. The 22uF 400v capacitor next to it
Is ok I tested it on a meter and measures correct.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

Those 'coils' don't burn-up by themselves.
Something else in your circuit caused this damage.
Don't just replace the coil, or transformer, or whatever it is, without checking the
rest of the circuit.

give us a pic of the whole board-unless you know what you are doing this sort of repair would be better off with board replacement, depending on the type of board fitted the element is either relay switched or controlled via triacs on the board....the other thing that will cause it not to work is the thermistor located in the same housing as the heater element.Remove the heater element and connect it to 240v ac breifly to see if the element is ok,taking measurements with the leads connected is no test of element continuity

Element heats

Thanks for your reply. I tested the element on 240v and it does warm up. Also tested the three thermistors with the leads off and all conduct ok.

I enclose pictures of the dryer board which also controls the motor which works ok. I tested all three relays and they seem to work ok - conduct on the 240v side when 12v is applied to the other side.

It seems like the element is getting 240v but there is no neutral return - I read on one forum that it switches the neutral - not sure if this is correct.

The 4 prong socket on the edge of the board feeds the 3 thermistors and the element. The two prong socket on the other side feeds the fan motor.

Someone on a forum said they had the same no heat problem and swapped this dryer board and it didn't fix the problem so thought it must be the main board.

post the main board as well,it may be something as simple as a brconnection at the crimp connecting to the pcb or the element itself-lets have a pic of the machine etc element wise and the thermistors youve checked
