Hello there I have a problem with a bush dab radio it's the BD-1709S-PM1-SENA-8002B model. The problem is that on the PCB there is a missing component on there labelled U4. I replaced all the 470uf 10v capacitors but the problem is that the unit is dead. I have tried to find the schematics or datasheet without any luck. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Likely not missing but an optional component. At least if the radio worked before,
Lacking a schematic, the least you can do is check the supply voltages.

Hi, I've just been asked to repair one of these and there are several exploded caps on the main PCB, C30 & C2 220µF 10v and C24 470µF 10. But my main problem is also U1 which has blown a big hole in it. So suspect its a power control/regulator chip.
So if anyone has any ideas what this could or possibly a schematic (ARGOS / SAINSBURYS / BUSH no help) I would be obliged.

Check this one, looks pretty much the right spare part.
Next time better open a new thread than to post in a comparatively old thread. Your chance to be read are much better.

Cheers,
Harald
