Cable connection help needed

G'Day, I am new here but am in need of help and this looked like just
the place to get it - I hope ;<}

I have an Amtel (French) CCD camera and a DATA Translation DT3157
frame grabber PCI board. The problem I have is that I can not get a
ready made cable to connect them. Atmel says talk to DT and DT says we
can not tell you what pin connects to what pin BUT they can make me
one for about $900.

I have the manuals and pin out lists for both the camera and the card
but with my VERY limited knowledge of these things have only managed
to work out a few of the more obvious connections like data, ground
and power.

What I need is someone to be able to work out a pin x to pin x type
list so I can then make up the cable.

Any help would earn my unending gratitude as I have been trying for
months to get this information.

Cheers - Tony Evans

Please show us (if you don't have a scanner or digital camera, you can
get it scanned at Kinko's and the like) and we'll be more able to assist.

Hi, I have both but what do you want me to show you? - Tony

Ideally, the schematics and operation manual of both devices, so we can
figure out which pin should connect to which, or even if it's feasible.

Since you're posting from google, you can't access the binaries, so you'll
have to find a website somewhere that lets you upload pictures - most ISPs
that I know of come with a few megabytes of webspace; unfortunately,
you're kind of on your own as far as finding, and posting to, one of
these places.

Thanks,
Rich

Tony, you may have a serious mismatch. It seems the
camera presents a digital data output, with 12-bit LVDS
(low-voltage differential signaling), very nice!, but
the Data Translation board is an analog-input board,
judging from pin names (I wasn't able to find the
manual on their site). Your best bet is to get your
hands on a proper Camelia FGT board. Happily, digital-
input boards are much less expensive than analog ones.

The DT3157 is a digital only board or so the site blurb says????
