Hello,

I bought a 3-way Cable Splitter and for some reason I get a bad static
type picture on Channel 2. I paid like $4.00 or so for it at Walmart.
I need to know if I purchase a more expensive one will it give me a
clear picture? Can anyone recomend one to me. I saw a Monster brand
one on ebay for $3.00, but I kind of want to buy one quickly.
Radioshack??? Any thoughts would be appreciated especially like the
signal strength I need.

First make a direct connection (no splitter) to determine picture
quality.
Splitters are so simple that it is extremely hard to mess them up.
If channel 2 is strong without the splitter, then try another by
return-for-replacement process.

What's a return?

Also, the picture was fine on channel 2 before with a two-way
splitter. Now both tv's are messed up on channel 2.

Disconnect one of the TVs from the splitter and check TV #1 quality,
then swap connections to check TV #2 quality.
It is possible that both would look OK if the only one on the cable
(with splitter in the line).
If indeed this is what that experiment shows, then each TV is
interfering with the other, then some careful mis-tuning of each one
would be in order.

Actually two tv's and one cable modem connected to one 75 cable line.

I also have a booster plug-in thing that Adelphia gave me.

However, sometimes at night Channel 2 is bad on both tv's.

Do you have all three outputs terminated to a TV or 75 ? load?
