Hello All!
New here, got an issue with my camera.
After trying an IR conversion, i accidentally damaged the LCD connector on the PCB and now the LCD screen doesn't function.
Looking for some advice to see if this really is the cause of my woes and perhaps if there is anything to salvage the situation.

Love any advice ( that isn't buy a new camera, money is a luxury us students can't enjoy )25634898_1782504585127084_1558647802_o.jpg 25635093_1782505018460374_1451503722_o.jpg 25635133_1782504745127068_1632609836_o.jpg 25637104_1782505165127026_1396648440_o.jpg 25674514_1782504951793714_1793682894_o.jpg

Clearly the black plastic 'lever' - the one that secures the flat ribbon and ensures good contact - has been damaged therefore not all contact points are being appropriately 'squished'.

It may be possible to purchase an identical connector and swap the black plastic pressure strip - it only clips into the white part of the holder by locating pins at each end.

Looks like 45 pins to me.....

Here's a link to Farnell and all the 45-pin FFC sockets they have - see if you can spot yours!
