Hi,
A friend pointed me at this group as my electronics skills are somewhat
lacking.
You might be able to help me.
I have a project i want to build the requirements are as follows:

Button A is depressed for 10 seconds (if held for less than 10 and
repressed the count should start from 10 again)
After 10 seconds a Light should turn on and a timer started. timer set
for 1-5minutes.

Should button B be pressed for 10 seconds (if held for less than 10 and
repressed the count should start from 10 again) The light should go off
and the timer stopped.

I'd like to have a master OFF switch, with the system having an off
state on power on.

Should the timer reach it's goal, i'd like some kind of alarm to go
off..

If anyone can help me, that'd be great.

(It's for an Airsoft game)

How accurate does your timing need to be?
Do you need 10 minutes +/- 1 second or is 9 minutes 40 seconds or 10
minutes 20 seconds close enough?

Greater acciuracy generally means greater cost.

Hi Peter,
If you don't have any luck with this elswhere, drop me an email (see
http://notrocketscience.mysite.wanadoo-members.co.uk/index.html) and I
will put something together for you.
As last poster has asked, what is required accuracy? I will assume you
would want this to be a small battery powered unit.

can the main (1-5 minute) timer be restarted?
does it continue from where it got to or start at the beginning?
doe it need a display?
I'd like to have a master OFF switch, with the system having an off

there's plenty of off the shelf alarm devices both visible an audible.
If anyone can help me, that'd be great.

how accurate do you need the timers?
