Can Damper Diodes be used at high duty cycle current?

Can Damper Diodes- 1.5kv 10 amp, (if only now mounted on heatsink with fan), as they used to be used earlier as protection for production tv circuits transistors, be used as on time for about 34% duty cycle or higher, without burning out? I have quantity of these DTV-32F which were originally made for much lower 3-10% duty cycle end use protection. These are fast type diodes and at lower cost now since the bulky tvs are not made anymore.

They can be used at a higher duty-cycle as long as the maximum average forward current rating is not exceeded.
