can ds1803 digital pot be used?

hi,
i have to design a opamp gain amplifier with opamp runing at
+-15v....and the input to the opamp is a PWM square wave(0 to
1.3volts)...so i want to use ds1803 to varry the gain from +4 to
-4....but ds1803 operates at 5 volts ...is any one used the ds1803 to
work on similar kind of application..can it work..need to decide soon
upon the digital potentiometer to be bought

What kind of opamp circuit do you have in mind, that will let you vary the
gain from positive to negative?
