I have to convert 3 phace ac to dc to a very low voltage and high current. I am using a rectifier with a buck converter. The problem i am facing is buck converter is going into DCM as the output voltage of rectifier goes over 80 v. Overall I want to cascade a rectifier with a buck converter and I am nbot able to do so.

Can anyone please help

Soo,,, what's the problem?

What's the issue with the DCM (Discontinuous Conduction Mode in Buck Converters)?

How about supplying some information about it all, and links to datasheets on the items?

Firstly, thanks a lot for quick reply.

I am using a full bridge rectifier to convert 3 phase ac to dc . the output in 400 - 800 v.
now i need to have a buck converter to convert this to half of this thereby increasing the current to double. It is this stage wen my buck converter in not able to perform properly.

Could you give us some idea of the circuit you're using, and the problems you're having?
