Hi. Im just about to jump into electronics world. I got no basic about electronics. But seems like now, im in love with it.

Hope could get some help here.

A. Old fan capasitor. 2.2uf 800vac (burned)
B. New fan capasitor. 2.5uf 400vac

Im trying to find an exactly spec like the original capcitor (A). But seem cant find any around my town. So i get the (B) capasitor instead.

My question is, what would its cause if i change the capacitor that has lower vac?

For even a 230 V AC fan, 400 V AC capacitor is good enough.

And this the replacement part. Is it looks like AC motor run rated?

Looks OK, but Chinese origin motor capacitors do not have a very good track record.

I've got no choice. For awhile gonna give it a try. I guess need to order online for better capacitors.

For motor run/start capacitors there is no polarity to observe. either connection should work.
I use N.A. made oil filled for reliability. CDE etc.
