Allow me to disagree. There's only so much space on these tiny SMD components, so the manufacturer has to resort to some kind of code to identify a component. Usually the code is described in the datasheet. And since space is limited, so is the number of different codes. Therefore the same code may appear on different components by different manufacturers.
I picked a
random datasheet. Believe me, it was a random pick, but sure enough the logo shown in the datasheet looks suspiciously like the on in the op's photo:

SO we can assume the component "GAF" is made by Diodes Inc, which limits the search space enormously. A search for "diodes GAF marking" turns up
this datasheet where we find:
And in the corresponding section "ordering information" we find:
Therefore the component is very likely an AP2204K-ADJTRG1 adjustable voltage regulator.
