The Standard horizon Intrepid VHF marine radio has a multi-plug system in it that allows a microphone with controls on it to control the radio from a remote location like a fly bridge, while keeping the radio safe and warm in the cabin. It also has a 7 pin accessory jack that is used to input an nmea gps receivers + and - ; and an external speaker output. I don't have the specs on the speaker, or the nmea receiver, so I am just guessing about it. I have a UBLOX USB adapter for an MSoft "Streets and Trips" Program that plugs into the USB port. I want to know if I can use that for my nmea beacon, and what the external speaker ohms might be... just guessing but I would say this question is the most annoying one ever posted on the EP forum...
