Just out of curiosity, has anyone checked to see how close to a true sine wave those computer UPS's
put out (number of steps)? If I had an oscilloscope i'd check it myself.. but I don't. I was
wondering if it is better than those cheap-o modified square wave inverters you find for cars, etc.
in the 150w to 1800 watt range.

Just trying to determine how to get more bang for the buck.
