I saw a really nice holder for ICs today, but it was at an auction for
a company that went out of business - so no way to find out where they
got it!

It was a small bench top plastic cabinet, maybe 6" wide, 12" high,
4-5" deep. It had about 20 drawers in it, each of which was on .5"
high at most, and they were lined with anti-static foam. It was an IC
holder. I would love to buy one, as it would be perfect to sit on my
bench and would end the problem of storing ICs in anti-static bags in
big bulky bins.

The problem is, I can't find one, anywhere on line. Does anyone have
one or have a source for one?

Thanks very much!

Have you tried a hardware store (for the drawers anyway) Home depot or
Loews might have them. In Canada, I've seen them at Canadian Tire. They
are sort of a snap together design. You buy as may drawers as you want and
just snap them together to form a set of drawers as big as you want.

It sounds like the bin that those resistor assortments used to
come in, but the compartments in those were very small -
maybe 1/2" wide, to hold maybe 50-100 resistors. They're
not cheap, since you have to buy about a thousand assorted
resistors to get one, but it's a start.

Another thing that pops to mind is Akro-Mils, or any of
the makers of those style of things. Go to a store and
get some brand names to search on.

Good Luck!
