Image1.jpg Can I connect a ZNR Surge absorbers across LIVE and Neutral inside the wall switch that is connected to an E27 LED Bulb?
The E27 LED bulb has a specification of 13.5W and using AC 220V to 240V.
I am think of using ZNR of Type D that is of E series.
Not sure which are the ZNR part number or model I should use, but I am sure I need to ZNR with specification AC 100 V to 240 V, Line–Line and Line–Ground Applications.
Anyone can advice?
Thank you.

Do you actually HAVE a live/neutral in the light switch? Normally there is just a live and switched-live.

If you wanted to fit such a device you'd have to do it at the ceiling fitting.

But the data sheet has all the info you need to make the right selection - it even has a column for 'suggested use'.

John, why do you want to fit a surge absorber?

The bulb won't work if it doesn't have a return path through the N line.

For safety the switched L wire should be connected to the centre contact, not the threaded bulb holder.
