constant low battery warning in a wireless sensor

I have a sensor (wireless smoke) in a Simon 3 system that is
constantly reporting "low battery" at the panel. These detectors use
two 9 volt batteries. I've replaced both of these batteries 3 times
in 2 days and it still continues to report "low battery." I think at
this point it's fair to assume there's nothing wrong with the
batteries. Does anyone have any tips on how to get rid of this
apparent glitch? Fortunately the detector still appears to work just
fine (I've tested it several times), but the annoying reports of "low
battery" every six minutes are driving me nuts.

If it's like the Ademco smokes, remove the batteries, short the battery
terminal with a screwdriver or the likes for a few seconds, then reinstall
the batteries.

the detector need to be powered down totally to reset the low battery
condition...
to do so you remove both battery at the same time..then you can wait for a
few minute,or press the test button or short the battery terminal to
discharge any remaining power....doing all 3 will definitly clear the low
battery condition..

then reinstall fresh battery (you allready have some...;-) )

et Voila!

Not sure what you mean by "wrong sensor," but this is the smoke
detector that came with the package and it worked fine until the first
set of batteries went dead.

Read awhile back that some smokes use lithium batteries, could this be the
case and you put in alkalines?

Try it this way

1. Take out batteries
2. Hold test button down 30 seconds
3. Put batteries back
4.

If you still have the problem replace the sensor
