Hi everyone,

I've had an idea to replace an old unreplaceable board with some type of emulation software.

The main components of the board is one Intel TN80C188EB13 microprocessor, and one AM29F010B flash chip.

I have the software that's loaded onto the flash chip, and this device does have can communication.

I'm not much of an electronics guy, but more of a software person. Is there any resources that I could be looking at? and which approach would be the most sensible one to take for this project.

I presume that this board does something. The micro interfaces to other electronics?
If you are to replace the board, I guess you must interface to the same electronics.
Do you have schematics?
.
Also, the "TN" in the name suggests an "industrial" spec part. Will it see a wide temperature range?
