cracked flyback ferrite

hi everyone,
a friend gave me a flyback transformer and the ferrite on it is cracked.
the part of the flyback that is cracked it the top left corner. (sorry i don't have a picture of the flyback)
can i super glue it and is there anyway to repair it?
thanks.

Try it and see. If you have a 2n3055 and some high power resistors lying around a test circuit should be pretty quick to wire up.

i had a better look at it and the flyback is cracked on both corners so its like an I section is in the flyback and the U has snapped off (even though a fbt uses two U cores)
i hope i can still use it:eek:

I don't know if I'm giving good or bad advice but I like epoxy hands down over super glue. Some of the best epoxies on the market are made by JB Weld. Many of JB Weld's products contain metallic binders though.
