hi i have just got some dupont 2mm pitch conectors what is the crimping too i require for them ive looked but there is loads of various types etc and im not sure what i actually need

This is what you are looking for. ServoCity was convenient. I believe Radio Shack also carries an inexpensive one. Without your location, it is hard to guess what might be available in your area.

Basically, they will have slots for two sizes and each slot will have a double crimp area One part of the crimp is for a small length of wire with insulation to give support, and the other is for the metal-to-wire crimp for electrical connection.

What's your application?
Does the crimp have to meet any military or industrial specification?
Is this just something you're doing as a hobby on the side?
There are a lot of generic crimpers that will work, but if you're doing something
that has to meet a standard, you need to stick with what the manufacturer recommends.
If you have the part number, you can contact the manufacturer and find out what types
of crimpers they recommend for your connectors.

i tried them but were no good cost me £12 off amazon for a pair i think are right
