Hello. I'm a total noob trying to repair a Samsung Smartview baby monitor. The pin inside the DC power jack socket broke off and I need to replace the socket.
I carefully removed the back of the monitor (4 screws) and popped off the socket. The socket has a pin on each corner and a hole in the middle, and there's a pin coming out of the circuit board which (apparently) fits into the hole in the socket.
The problem is, when I looked online for socket to match the one I removed, I couldn't find it. All I can find is 3-pin sockets such as this one on e-bay...
http://www.ebay.com/itm/10Pcs-DC-Po...Socket-Connector-DC003-Type-1-3-/170844901573
What I'm thinking now is that the socket is actually 3-pin, but the center pin came off and is stuck in the circuit board.
Before I try to pull the pin out of the circuit board, I just want to make sure it's not designed that way.
Thanks in advance for helping out a noob with a "noob-orn".
