I have a dcb101 20 volt Dewalt battery charger been working great fine not a problem went to plug a battery in today walked away came back about two hours later still indicating needs to charge so I left it alone for another hour knowing for sure that it would be charged seeing that it usually charges within an hour come back still showing it needs to charge check the battery status bar to see how much charge was in the battery and none had been added to the battery so battery charger shows charging like normal but battery can not take a charge or something anybody help me

Welcome to EP.

You first need to identify the source of the problem: is it the charger or the battery? Do you have access to another battery or another charger to check which of your own ones is defect?

This is a good indication that it is the charger having an issue. Can you open it and as a first test visually inspect for any suspicious components, loose wires, browned pcb etc.?

Also I have plugged it in after I opened it and I hear this buzzing noise coming from two different spots is a round component looks like has copper wire wound around it

These units are not made to be "repaired". There are plenty of after market units around if you cannot afford genuine replacement.
