Dell Trinitron 19" dual input... fixable?

Hi There,
I've recently been given a dual input 19" Dell Trinitron monitor that
needs repair. I'm wondering if this is a fixable problem and if you
fine folks can advise me on how to fix it myself. I have generally
good electronic repair skills but have never tackled a monitor before.

Here are the problems I'm seeing:

***The black level is very grey, but dos screens (white text on black)
are quite legible and clean despite the greyed black background.

***Different colors seem to have a smudge running to their right, the
brighter the color, the darker the smudge and vice versa.

***The more white there is on the screen, the darker it gets. The more
black there is on the screen, the lighter it gets.

What do you think?
Thanks,
Mike

Most likely to be caused by problems in the high voltage area. The HV is
varying with intensity of the image.
It's very fixable. My first suggestion would be to look into the tripler
module.

Don't worry, probably very simple. Two solutions:

a)

b) (I think, the better..the same that I have made on my E500)

With this program you can fix the G2 level, that is probably too high.
Fix it to 125.
Good work! :)
