Denon receivers should have something over them to prevent dust from falling in.

Hello,

I purchased a Denon AVR 1909 and one thing which worries me is the open
vents on the top of it...

While this is nice to have to dispense heat... it also allows dust to fall
in... and I am one dusty bastard ! ;) :)

This worries me...

Anyway... the store had a plank over it... there was almost no dust at all
in the device when I opened it today... maybe they blew the dust of of it...
or maybe it just didn't catch dust thanks to the plank ?!

So I think I will have to do some carpenting skills or some other solution
to place something over the receiver to keep dust from falling in... on the
other hand I am quite a lazy bastard... maybe I just let the dust fall in
and blow it out from time to time ?! ;)

Hmm.. haven't tried the receiver yet... but soon I will.

What are your thoughts about dust inside a receiver ?

(I wonder could receivers get so warm that dust might catch fire ? ;))

Bye,
Skybuck.

Then start dusting off your mess instead of wasting your time playing games,
annoying the neighbors and posting to usenet.
