I think that one wanted to get you to click the link, either to sell you something that doesn't exist or to try to install some kind of malware on your computer or maybe even to just get paid for directing people to click on a site that is not malicious (some webmasters will do shady things to increase a site's view count so advertisers will pay them more).
Sometimes they are just trying to bring their post count up to where they are allowed to post in the buy & sell section so they can take people's money for items they don't have. We've had a bunch of them lately on a bike forum I moderate on that post something like that to test the water and then start either posting replies to part wanted posts along the lines of
Email SOMENAME in PLACE he has the NAME OF PART you are looking for [email protected]
or worse sending it in a private message to the person looking for the part. Unfortunately a few forum members there (usually people too new to know to be wary of them or how to check their forum stats - as here just mouse over the avatar pic or name) have sent money before they realized what was going on.
