I have recently bought a 4gb dictaphone for security purposes to be installed at my gran dads home as he's been duped by cold callers. Unless you call £100 for cleaning the front windows a bargain.
I want to ensure the battery life lasts as long as possible so I don't have to keep going over there and changing them every 2 days.
I don't mind butchering the device somewhat, but how would you extend the life of this device for as long as possible, it can record over a weeks worth of audio, so I would like to know if its possible to add a battery pack or something that will not blow it up, but also extend the life considerablly.
By default it takes two AAA, would putting in two AA extend the life if I could make them them fit and by rougly what % if any?
Ideally I am hoping for a 7+ days, batteries are not a problem as I can get them cheap.
